Fees & Billing

All my fees are subject to VAT.

• Hourly rate: £150 per hour at work (£75 per hour travelling).

Unless fees are specifically agreed on a different basis, the above rates will apply. For example, whilst I would generally accept small claims track road traffic accident cases with a time estimate of 90 minutes listed in one of the courts in my local county courts for an all in fee of £200, unless this is specifically agreed with me before hand, the above rates will apply.

Instructions are accepted on this basis:

• For trials, written and/or oral instructions to accompany a trial bundle, delivered by dx, email or fax, 3 working days prior to a hearing.
• For advices and/or drafting, written and/or oral instructions to accompany relevant paperwork, delivered by dx, email or fax an agreed number of days prior to deadline.
• Fees due within 56 days of invoice.
• Payment by cheque made payable to Mr Duncan Roy, delivered by dx.
• Cancellations the day before a hearing will incur the brief fee.
