Brighton Barrister - Duncan Roy

Self-clerking

I am a sole practitioner and clerk myself. When contacting me, please use the following methods in this order of priority: (i) email; (ii) telephone; (iii) fax. I will return your email/call/fax as soon as possible.

When delivering documents to me, please use the following methods in this order of priority: (i) dx; (ii) email; (iii) fax; and (iv) postage to my chambers address by prior arrangement with me only.

I no longer accept briefs the day before a hearing (except in truly exceptional circumstances).

For simple matters (e.g. road traffic accidents, infant settlement approvals, basic contractual disputes) I can accept briefs 2 working days before a hearing. Generally, the earlier the brief the better the chance that I will have time to accept it.

When leaving a voicemail, sending an email or fax, please remember to give your name, the name of your firm, your contact telephone number, a brief description of the matter you are calling me about and any applicable deadlines.
